Allison & Stone, are excited to release their debut album “FIRST” (Organic Time Records). One of the album's singles, "It's A Perfect Day", has already received national radio play.

The alternative rock/country songs were written, produced, engineered and performed by the duo. The songs are powerfully charged with Stone’s unique guitar chords and rhythms, which allow Allison’s pure vocals a space to soar and intimately share heartfelt lyrics about love, joy, self-realization and journey with the listener.

Allison Balson is an established actress -- she portayed the adopted "nasty" Nancy Oleson on the TV series "Little House on the Prairie", and co-stared in numerous feature films (Best Seller, Legend Of The White Horse, Looker, The Hearse, Magic of Lassie) and television shows (Quincy, Steve Martin Comedy Special, L.A.T.E.R., CHiPs, Goldie Hawn Children's Special, Goosehill Gang, Disney Kids Talk With Allison Balson). Her most recent appearance was on the TV Land special “Myths & Legends”. In addition to acting, Allison is a published singer/songwriter, with her music featured in a motion picture soundtrack.

Stone began his musical dedication when he was 4 years old, and has performed classical, jazz, blues, rock, jam, and pop, contributing towards a first place judging at an international jazz ensemble competition at age 11. The guitar is his primary instrument, and he also plays saxophone, bass, harmonica, and a range of woodwinds, strings, and percussion, which contribute to the Allison & Stone sound.

Allison & Stone took a “do-it-yourself” approach to recording, and prior to collaborating on the album, they designed, engineered, and constructed a free-standing recording studio, so they could control the artistry and quality of the music.

All songs were written during the time of recording the album, and their recording process hearkens back to the golden age of recording the artist as though it was a “live” in-studio performance.

"Completing this project on our own meant working in both good times and under challenging circumstances. There was one time when the equipment stopped working, and we had to disassemble and re-wire the electronics to fix it. Also, since the studio was hand-built and all of the equipment was set up and operated by us, it was a major challenge to make things sound the way we wanted. Allison and I worked together and relied upon each other in more ways than just performing music. Because of this, this album means a lot to me, and I want this album to be part of your music collection as a musical product, and also as a symbol of the human spirit. The values expressed on this album praise hard work, teamwork, dedication, and resourcefulness, and I believe that those who also stand for these values will appreciate the album most." - Stone

Allison & Stone's goal in making the album "first" was to create timeless music, and reintroduce the album concept to listeners, while using the recordings as a basis for an extraordinary live experience.
